THE 5% club
The 5% Club supports hiring more apprentices and graduates into the UK workforce. It’s made up of public and private sector organisations who want to make the UK more competitive globally and to give young people the best opportunities. And we’re proud to call ourselves a member.
ARMED FORCES COMMITMENT
Babcock is committed to honouring the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant and supporting the Armed Forces community. Whether it’s serving personnel (regular or reservists), veterans or military families, we want to recognise the contribution they make to our business and country. That’s why we’re an armed-forces friendly employer and always proud to show our support.
We take diversity seriously. We firmly believe that a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture is an essential part of a healthy and progressive business, and so this is something we actively encourage. We are corporate members of WISE (Women into Science and Engineering).
Our recruitment process is designed to ensure that everyone is selected on their merits and nothing else.
Cavendish Nuclear, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Babcock International Group, is the UK’s largest nuclear services organisation. We undertake critical projects including supporting delivery of new build nuclear power plants, extending the working-life of existing nuclear plants and safely decommissioning legacy sites – delivering complex projects safer, faster, at lower cost.
We have a strategic relationship with EDF Energy, which is of national importance. By extending the lifespan of their nuclear plants, we’re helping to keep the country’s lights on. At the same time, our expertise in decommissioning and site remediation is helping the nuclear industry accelerate the clean-up and removal of a number of legacy sites.
You’ll find us at nuclear-licensed sites across the UK in one form or another. Whether on our own or with one of our partners, we apply proven experience and trusted expertise to deliver complex programmes.ABOUT CAVENDISH NUCLEAR
