See the list below to find out more about the areas of our business that are offering places on our Commercial programme for Autumn 2019. But no matter which team you join, you could be based anywhere in the UK. That’s why we ask all our graduates to be flexible and willing to move during their programme.

AVIATIONLearn more and apply

Babcock delivers critical and vital aviation services in 14 countries across the world. Every day, lives, livelihoods, safety and security depend on the operations we fly and enable. With a long and proud history in providing aerial emergency services and supporting defence aviation, we deliver over 200,000 flying hours each year – providing lifesaving emergency medical operations, search and rescue flights, and support to every aspect of military air power.

We operate at the heart of UK military flying training and deliver bespoke integrated aviation services. We now also work alongside the French Air Force, with an 11-year contract delivering military flying training programmes. With the second largest aircraft fleet in Europe, we are one of the leading suppliers of aerial emergency services.

Our proven expertise and unwavering focus on safe and efficient delivery mean we are a trusted name in a complex world.

All graduates in Aviation relocate every six to twelve months, so you need to be ready and willing to move throughout your programme.

LANDLearn more and apply

The Land sector generates revenue of in excess of £1.8bn and employs close to 12,000 skilled personnel around the globe. Together, we provide vital support for civil and military customers’ large-scale fleets of vehicle and equipment; and we deliver high quality technical training to upskill our clients’ workforce. We operate in challenging, and often highly regulated environments, providing engineering services that are critical, complex and often bespoke. Our graduates have the opportunity to work across multiple industries in the sector, gaining valuable insight into how we help different customers to overcome their particular challenges.

Whilst we have locations throughout the UK, graduates tend to be based in our Greater London, Midlands or Scottish locations, though you will need to be ready and willing to move to other sites throughout your programme.

Your placements could take you to any part of our business. You might be managing elements of multi-million pound bids, supporting commercial contracts, or spotting new opportunities across our Aviation and Land sectors. And once you have a handle on what we’re about and how we do things, you’ll specialise in an area that suits your strengths and ambitions.

It’s a really exciting time to do business in the UK. So many markets are seeing really interesting – and profitable – work being done. And on this programme, you’ll get a chance to experience some of them. Along the way, you’ll enjoy a competitive starting salary of £28k - £30k and our full support in getting accredited with a professional body.

You’ll need a 2:2 (Hons) degree in Business, Economics, Law or another relevant subject. You’ll also need to satisfy the MOD’s security requirements (and may need to complete a medical assessment).

In addition to the above requirements, in our Aviation sector the graduate programme spans across a number of UK and international contracts, therefore, multilingual skills and international experience are hugely valuable to us. Alongside our UK-based graduates, we are actively looking for candidates that are flexible and willing to undertake international placements and use their existing language skills to add value to our sector. Being able to work with and amongst different cultures and backgrounds is vitally important within our organisation, so please ensure that any language or international experience is highlighted within your CV and application form.
