Whether you want to be an engineer, a project manager, or a physicist, we’ve got a world-class graduate programme for you.
we have over 50 Vacancies this year
Every big engineering project is also a big business project. Which is why we have opportunities for graduates from nearly every degree subject.
Do you have what we’re looking for?
To work on some of the biggest projects out there, you’ll need to be a natural team player, with loads of drive, great analytical skills and the resilience to thrive on change and pressure. You’ll also need some natural leadership ability – you’ll be the kind of person who takes the initiative and makes sure that results are delivered on time. You’ll need to be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis to secure a role on one of our graduate programmes and to satisfy the MOD's security requirements (and may need to complete a medical assessment).
Our application process is broken down into four clear steps. The only way to apply is through our website, but if you have any questions about the status of your application – or if you have any special requirements – just drop us a line on email@example.com. All applications are reviewed in the order they are received, so don’t delay in submitting yours.
Once you’ve found the programme you’re interested in, click on the ‘Apply’ button to be taken to our bespoke application site. All you need to do then is set up a candidate homepage and you can apply for roles throughout Babcock without having to fill in your basic details over and over again (you can always update your details once you’re set up). When uploading your CV to your homepage, try to keep it as simple as possible – no fancy graphics or tables. If your upload fails, try saving your document as a Rich Text File (.rtf) – that should do the trick. And you don’t have to do your application all in one go. Take your time, save as you go along (you don’t want to lose anything if you get timed-out), and come back to it over a few hours or days. It’s best to get it right.
When you set up your homepage you’ll get an email asking you to click on a link to activate it. This email will also contain the link you need to get back to your account whenever you need to. Make sure you activate your account within seven days or you’ll have to start again. If you’ve not received your activation email within two days, then please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you’re shortlisted, you’ll be asked to complete some online tests. These help us to select candidates to invite to our assessment centres. We want a diverse workforce, so if you require any adjustments to help you complete the online tests then please let us know by emailing email@example.com
Our assessment centres typically run from November to March around the UK. This is our chance to find out more about you and your chance to find out more about us – and to meet some of the people you might be working with. Depending on which part of the business you apply for, you might also be asked to a final interview.
Soon after your final assessment, we’ll let you know if you’ve secured a place.
