What you’ll be doing

As part of the Marine sector, our 1,200-strong Defence Systems Technology business based out of Bristol/Leicester works on a range of exciting design, manufacture and support projects, with a number of key clients domestically and internationally. As a result, we’re looking to recruit talented, enthusiastic and driven people to join our team. During your placement, you’ll work as a member of a multidisciplinary, professional engineering team and have the opportunity to contribute to the business straight away. To succeed in this role, it’s essential that you have a positive attitude, as well as a creative and inquisitive approach to problem solving.

What you’ll need

We’re looking for undergraduates who are on track for a 2:1. We’ll also want you to demonstrate a real interest in engineering and have excellent interpersonal skills. In addition, you should be self-motivated, energetic and keen to learn and develop. Successful candidates will also need to satisfy the MOD’s security requirements (and may need to complete a medical assessment).

MARINE – PLYMOUTHLearn more and apply

What you’ll be doing

As part of the Marine sector, our 5,500-strong business based out of Plymouth is a strategic partner of the MOD and the Royal Navy. We undertake 100% of submarine refits as well as 75% of UK surface fleet refits and 50% of fleet maintenance work. As a result, we’re looking to recruit talented, enthusiastic and driven people to join our team. You could be based in one of our design offices working with our submarine or warship design teams. Or we may even put you on a project management placement where you’ll be liaising with multiple teams.

What you’ll need

You’ll need to be studying a STEM-based degree and heading for a minimum of a 2:2 degree. Successful candidates will also need to satisfy the MOD’s security requirements (and may need to complete a medical assessment).
