WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Expect to work on every kind of project across our organisation – from design and manufacture to in-service support and capability enhancement projects. Whatever the task at hand, risks need to be identified and managed, stakeholder requirements satisfied, and the whole thing delivered on time and to budget.

Along the way, you’ll develop strong relationships with colleagues in commercial, financial and procurement functions over the course of the programme. That’s because watching our finances is as important as watching the clock when delivering a project. With that professional network behind you, you’ll have everything you need to tackle anything that comes your way.

WHAT YOU’LL GET OUT OF IT

We’ll help you become a true professional. Because our programme is based on the Association for Project Management (APM) Body of Knowledge, you’ll get experience in all the key elements of the APM Competence Framework. Combine this with the learning from the best project managers in industry and support from your own mentor and you’ll be ready to go for the APMP qualification. And let’s not forget a competitive starting salary of £28k - £30k.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll need a minimum of a 2:1 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. You’ll also need to satisfy the MOD’s security requirements (and may need to complete a medical assessment). Note: for the Marine – Plymouth  programme, the entry requirements are a 2:2 degree.
